Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 2026
JIGOE uses a small number of cookies — pieces of data stored in your browser — to keep the platform working. This page explains what they're for.
1. Essential cookies (always on)
These are required for the platform to function and can't be turned off:
- Session cookie: keeps you logged in as you move between pages, so you don't have to re-enter your password on every click. This is deleted when you log out or your session expires.
- CSRF protection cookie: a security token that protects forms (like publishing results or adding a student) from being submitted by malicious third-party sites.
2. What we don't use
JIGOE does not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking/analytics cookies, or cookies that build a profile of you for marketing purposes. We don't run ads on the platform.
3. Third-party services
Uploaded images (profile photos, school logos, signatures) are served from Cloudinary's infrastructure, which may set its own minimal technical cookies/headers as part of delivering that content. This is standard for any media hosting provider and isn't used for tracking by us.
4. Managing cookies
Because our only cookies are essential ones needed to keep you logged in and forms secure, blocking them in your browser will prevent the platform from working correctly — you'd effectively be logged out on every page load.
5. Changes to this policy
If that ever changes — for example, if we add optional analytics in the future — we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
6. Contact
Questions about this policy can be directed to your school's administrator, or to the platform operator via the contact details provided on the main site.
