Terms of Use
Last updated: August 2026
By creating an account or using JIGOE, you agree to these terms. If you're a Teacher or Student, your school has arranged your access — these terms apply to you alongside any policy your school has separately set for you.
1. What JIGOE is
JIGOE is school management software for secondary schools — covering student enrollment, attendance, gradebooks, report cards, and staff messaging. It is provided "as is," and we work to keep it reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
2. Accounts and access
- School Admin accounts are created when a school registers with the platform.
- Teacher and Student accounts are created and managed by the School Admin.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for anything done through your account.
- Each role sees only the data appropriate to it — Students see their own records; Teachers see their assigned classes/subjects; Admins see their whole school.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Enter false, misleading, or another person's data without authorization.
- Attempt to access another school's data, or another user's account.
- Use the messaging feature to harass, threaten, or send content unrelated to school operations.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the platform.
4. School responsibility for student data
The school (via its Admin and Teachers) is responsible for the accuracy of student records — grades, attendance, and results — entered into the system. JIGOE provides the tools; the school controls what's entered and when results are published to students.
5. Report cards and published results
Results only become visible to a student once a School Admin explicitly publishes them. Compiling results does not make them visible — publishing does. Schools should verify accuracy before publishing, as report cards may be relied on for academic decisions.
6. Termination
A School Admin may close their school's account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms, including attempts to access data outside a user's authorized scope.
7. Limitation of liability
JIGOE is a tool to support school administration, not a substitute for a school's own record-keeping obligations under applicable education regulations. We aren't liable for decisions made based on data entered by school staff, or for losses arising from misuse of the platform by any user.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms can be directed to your school's administrator, or to the platform operator via the contact details provided on the main site.
